Typical SAS Base Programmer duties and responsibilities include:
Job Description: Write, modify,
and maintain programs which produce randomization files, data sets, tables, and
listings for assigned projects
Responsibilities:
- Review Randomization Requirements and Create Randomization Lists
- Document and Manage New and Existing Randomization Lists
- Assume responsibilities for data transfer, including documentation
- Review Case Report Forms and help in the design of databases
- Review Statistical Analysis Plans and provide feedback to the author(s)
- Contribute towards process improvements
- Act as technical consultant to other departments
- Other projects and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
or equivalent plus at least three years experience in a role similar/comparable
to the position described above. Masters level education in an applied statistics
field highly desireable.
- Pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience highly desirable
- Knowledge of IVRS/IWRS randomized treatment and labeling list generation and management methods
- Solid understanding of and experience with:
SAS/Base
SAS Macro Facility
Database design principles
Basic statistical concepts and procedures
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (especially Word, Excel)
