Job Description: The SAS Developer/Programmer
is responsible for supporting customer & business analytics. The ideal candidate
has successfully used SAS and advanced programming techniques to extract and process
complex databases resulting in go-to-market delivery tools. He/she has the technical
skill set needed to efficiently and accurately process and deliver client ready
data views.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in large-scale data driven projects and market research by designing,
developing, and enhancing new and existing data extract and delivery tools.
- Perform the SAS system building and programming under the direction of project analytic
lead.
- Extracting, compiling, processing, and summarizing large volumes of data into useable
information utilizing SAS and other software tools.
- Responsible for developing SAS code and processes that will enhance and improve
the database access and data extract methodologies.
- Ensuring accuracy of data extracts and ad-hoc reports.
- Provide data extraction and analytical support for a variety of internal customers
and external recipients via flat files, SAS datasets, Access databases, and Excel
dashboards, pivot tables and reports.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of SAS experience (or SAS certification) with large data file programming,
analysis, management, and delivery.
- Experience mining large volumes of data into actionable and accurate information.
- Extensive experience in code development and analysis using SAS and reporting and
presentation tools such as Excel (including pivot tables).
- Excellent project management and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral/written communication, organization and teamwork skills.
- Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) preferred, in information technology, programming, math/statistics,
or related field and above experience.
